Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Belgium and Switzerland: many are the European countries enacting tax exemptions in order to attract new tax payers to their national territory. France, traditionally known as “tax hell”, is no exception to this trend. During their first six years of residency, new arrivals can benefit from numerous exemptions, which thus makes France fiscally competitive.
